Summer Chores
This summer I am going to try something a little different. The kids will still have chores but I am hoping to be a little more strict on getting things done. Each of them will have a chart that looks like the one below. They need to finish these five things before they can play with friends, watch TV or play with electronics. After they have finished each item they will put there initials by them and when it is all done I will check it off my putting my initials by theirs. I got this idea from 71 Toes.
Morning: When they wake up they need to do these things.
I found this “Morning Sheet” at Thirty Handmade Days. I just added their routine in Photoshop.
Practice: They will need to do 20 minutes of practicing. For Victoria it will be the piano for Brad typing or math.
Reading: They will need to read fro 20 minutes a day and then record their time and pages read on this reading log:
Bedroom: Their bedrooms will need to be picked up each day.
Zone: Each week they will have a list of chores that they will do daily or weekly. One week they will be on Week A and the next week, Week B
Then I also have a detail list of what need to be done for each of the weekly chores.
I am hoping that we will have a productive and fun summer.
