Victoria Turns 6.
Wow it is hard to believe that Victoria is 6. Looking back it has been so fun having Victoria in our family. She is very friendly and is always thinking of others.
Here is her birth story.
After we got home from church on January 9, 2005 I decided to lay down and rest for a while. We were going to David’s company party that night and I need to make a side dish so I was going to rest and then get up and make the dish. I slept for a little bit and when I woke up at about 4:30 and I though I felt something leaking. I went and used the bathroom and my underwear was a little wet but not much. I told David and he said to wait to call the doctor until we know for sure. So I started to pack my bags for the hospital. I was scheduled for a C-section on January 17. All of the baby stuff was still in storage. We were planning on going and getting them that weekend. At about 6:00 I was still leaking a little bit. I called my doctor and he said to go to the hospital and they would check and see if my water had broken or not, cause at this point I wasn’t sure if it had or not.
We called our babysitter and told her what was going on and she said that she could spent the night because she didn’t have school the next day. Our baby sitter arrived but we were still waiting for the pictures to transfer from the camera to the computer. At about 8:00 we were on our way.
After a quick stop to David’s company party to let them know what was going on we arrived at the hospital. By now I knew that my water had broken and we were going to have the baby. They wheeled my upstairs and to a room. After I was in a gown we called David’s parents, and my parents to let them know. Then we called our home teachers to come help give me a blessing.
After my doctor talked with us and had us sign some papers they wheeled me into the operating room. The anesthesiologist gave me my spinal tap and I was good to go. A few minutes after that the doctors and nurse arrived and then David came in and they started the surgery. A few minutes later Victoria was born. When they told me that she was a girl I was so happy. Earlier that day we were discussing names. The only name we came up with was Victoria. So it was a good thing that we had a girl. After they cleaned her up I was able to hold my precious baby girl.
